
The Department of Music offers both a BA and a BFA track for music majors. Under the new proposition, all understudies looking for music degrees will start under the BA music track. Understudies may then apply to the BFA track "by tryout." No tryout is required for induction into the BA program. Conventionally, BFA tryouts will happen amid the third semester of registration at Tulane. The BA in Music is an adaptable degree that gives understudies establishing in each of the three fields of music study (execution, hypothesis, and musicology) while permitting them to oblige their specific advantages.
